Fees

Predictable fees,
agreed before acting.

No work begins without a signed fee agreement. You know the financial framework of the engagement before it starts.

Principles

Predictability is part of the advice

For an executive, an unpredictable fee is one more risk. The firm therefore treats the financial framework the way it treats the case: in writing, in advance, without ambiguity.

Every engagement starts with a quote, continues with a signed fee agreement, and is invoiced in detail. Amounts depend on the nature and complexity of the matter: they are specified at the first meeting.

Four billing methods

The method depends on the engagement; it is proposed and explained at the first meeting.

01
Initial consultation
A first meeting at a fixed price, announced when booking, to frame the issues and the options. Deducted from the fees if you then instruct the firm.
02
Flat fee per engagement
For defined matters — incorporation, shareholders’ agreement, contract, T&Cs — an overall amount set from the start, with no surprises.
03
Retainer
For recurring needs, a monthly flat rate covering day-to-day questions, reviews and legal follow-up — the reflex of in-house counsel, without the hire.
04
Time spent & success fee
For litigation and open-ended engagements, detailed billing by time spent — supplemented where appropriate by a success fee agreed in writing.

Amounts are specified at the first meeting, according to the nature and complexity of the matter, and formalised in a written fee agreement.

Transparency

How it works, concretely

01
Quote & agreement
After the first meeting, a written quote then a signed fee agreement before any work begins.
02
Advance payment
An advance is requested at the start; it is deducted from the engagement’s fees.
03
Detailed invoicing
Invoices that itemise the work performed. You always know what you are paying, and why.
